RiverWatch  Survey Data

Here we will share the data we are collecting.  Please note, that the data will eventually go through a QA/QC   process, but data presented here is should be considered raw and  unverified.   We'll also eventually share here the Scorecard that  grades the river on its overall quality and health.  You can learn more by downloading our Quality Assurance Project Plan.

Over 255  individuals from the following groups have been involved in RiverWatch Trips from Nov 2012 to November 2013:

    Faculties of Agriculture, University of Sulaimani
    Students and faculty from the American University of Iraq-Sulaimani
    Secondary school kids from the Classical School of Medes
    High school kids from the Classical School of Medes and the ASO Folk High School
    Government staff from the Sulaimani Environment Directorate, Kurdistan Environmental Protection & Improvement Board and in Qadr Karam
    Journalists involved in a training on Environment with the Independent Media Center of Kurdistan

    Journalists, academics and NGO representatives at the Press Conference organized during the International Day for River Action (14 March)
    Volunteers have helped with spring sampling in April & May
