Latests activities of the Working Group on Water Rights
Promoting sustainable water use and conservation in Penjween, Kurdistan, Iraq
Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan, Iraq: Waterkeepers Iraq, Earth Network, & Mlakawa Organization, all members of the Working Group for Water Rights in Kurdistan, northern Iraq have joined together to raise awareness among middle school students in the Penjween District on the problem of sustainable water use and conservation. Presentations to the students will be on Thursday, November 23, 2017 from 10 AM-11:30 PM and following lunch the organizers and 7th, 8th and 9th grade students will be on the street in Penjween passing out educational flyers on how to properly use, protect and conserve our water resources. This activity is part of a project funded by the European Union.
