Nabil Musa

Leading Waterkeepers Iraq-Kurdistan

Holds a degree in Performance Arts (Theatre).
Nabil left Iraqi-Kurdistan in 1996 and walked for four years to reach Europe where he became an actor and activist for refugee rights. He returned to Iraq in 2007 and remained there because of his passion for the environment and desire to protect the rivers of his homeland from pollution and destruction.
To date, he is leading the non- government organization Waterkeepers Iraq-Kurdistan which focuses on advocacy and awareness raising for protection of river and waterways of Tigris basin in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Bnwar, a dedicated conservationist and environmental activist, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology Science.
His journey as an environmental advocate began in late 2018 when he first started as a field worker volunteer with Nature Iraq. In 2020, Bnwar joined Waterkeepers Iraq Organization, where he played a crucial role as a field worker and the talented Photographer for the Reconnecting with Our Life-Blood Project. His passion and commitment led him to take on additional responsibilities, and he later assumed the position of Project Manager within the organization. Beyond his managerial role, Bnwar contributes significantly to Waterkeepers Iraq as a volunteer by managing their social media platforms and website.
